Short films SHOWN AT THE SCREEN FORUM

Harkening back to the way movies used to be watched in theaters with a short film screened before the feature film, the Screen Forum showed short films before four of the feature films we screened at our 4-day event in March 2019.

The short films screened were from the traveling program of our short film wing, AUSTRALIAN SHORT FILM TODAY.

Before Bruce Beresford’s LADIES IN BLACK, we screened a 12-minute song and dance romcom LIBRARY OF LOVE by the brother and sister team Khrob and Miranda Edmonds of Cottesloe Films. They traveled from Perth to New York for the screening and for networking opportunities at the Screen Forum, with assistance from Screenwest.

Before MURIEL’S WEDDING, we screened the 3-minute hand drawn animation HABITS made by Kathy Sarpi as a student at Victorian College of the Arts, about a hopeless girl in need of self-improvement.

Before the documentary DANCING THE INVISIBLE: JILL BILCOCK on film editor Jill Bilcock, we screened the 3-minute comedy A WRITER AND THREE SCRIPT EDITORS WALK INTO A BAR by Australia film and television director Matthew Saville.

And before TOP END WEDDING, we screened the 3-minute comedy HICCUP by Australian actor Gerald Lepowski.
