Applications for the 3rd Inaugural Women in Screen Workshop are now open, which will take place in a VIRTUALLY on Zoom from  October to December 2021 for emerging female and nonbinary filmmakers.


Applicants of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply and available to any filmmaker located across the globe.

                     and Legal Affairs Workshop held at the Australian Consulate, New York. 

The Women in Screen Workshop is an industry focused lab for emerging filmmakers of any nationality who are looking to move to the next tier of their career. The program will run for one to two evenings a week New York Eastern Standard time, over a 8 week period and includes seminars, panel discussions, networking and work-in-progress workshops for filmmakers. The lab aims to create a space for the selected filmmakers to discuss industry hurdles and challenges that they face and how resourceful solutions can be put forward to create opportunity and change for their careers. The lab will provide seminars on Access to funding, Script development, Marketing and Distribution, PR, Negotiating pay and work placements, Business and Legal Affairs and Pitching.  All workshops are led by women to provide tools and resources for filmmakers to have an entrepreneurial approach to their career and look beyond the creative element to storytelling.

November 3rd, 10th, 17th


December 1st, 8th 2021

The filmmakers selected will be a part of the Forum Alumni Network at Australian International Screen Forum, a collective of filmmakers that will provide resources, opportunities and networking for Creatives and filmmakers.

  • 10 pages of Script and any other materials such as pitch deck
